1. Measure knee circumference bent at 90 degrees, below the patella, as shown. Take two additional circumference 18 cm above the top edge of the patella and 8 cm below the bottom edge of the patella:

• for a circumference of up to 36 cm at 18 cm above the upper edge of the patella and for a circumference of up to 32 cm at 8 cm below the lower edge of the patella – 1
• for a circumference of up to 43 cm at 18 cm above the upper edge of the patella and for a circumference of up to 36 cm at 8 cm below the lower edge of the patella – 2
• for a circumference of up to 44 cm at 18 cm above the upper edge of the patella and for a circumference of up to 40 cm at 8 cm below the lower edge of the patella – 3
• for a circumference of up to 52 cm at 18 cm above the upper edge of the patella and for a circumference of up to 44 cm at 8 cm below the lower edge of the patella – 4
• for a circumference of up to 62 cm at 18 cm above the upper edge of the patella and for a circumference of up to 52 cm at 8 cm below the lower edge of the patella – 5
